Joé Juneau Foundation

Funded since 2021

A human and sport for development program aiming to provide an opportunity for enthusiastic youths to be physically active while practicing their favorite sport in a school and educational context. It uses ice hockey as a tool, meeting the criteria of a ""sport-plus"" qualified program. The sharing and passing of knowledge and skills in education, health, physical activity and ice hockey is constantly ongoing with youth development going well beyond a minor hockey structure or a physical activity initiative; encouraging school perseverance and good behavior through the development of leadership and life skills among young participants.

Why We Fund Joe Juneau Foundation

This organization is all about connecting indigenous youth to the sport of hockey. We love the idea of using hockey as a vehicle to teach lifes skills and promote wellbeing.
