We’ll take you beyond the cheque, to an experience that you’ll enjoy, all the while keeping your participation confidential unless otherwise directed.

You’ll meet special people along the way, in awe-inspiring places.

We’ll deliver the benefits of a private foundation without the administrative burden that comes along with it:

  • Guidance and strategic support
  • Discrete and effective philanthropic capital deployment
  • Charity vetting, reporting, and assessment
  • Unique experiences and peer connection
Tyson Barrie & Friends 2024 Fundraiser

Our community has grown primarily through discreet recommendations and private referrals, and includes families, influencers, artists, athletes, and businesspeople. The result is a built-in peer network sharing inspiration, advice, support, and friendship.

Whether your superpower as a philanthropist is to collaborate, connect, advise, inspire, or fund, we’ll help you create a rewarding giving journey:

  • Through philanthropic capital – Deploying funds on your behalf to carefully selected social impact organizations.
  • With the Give’r Team – Connecting you with a network of peers ready to share their life experience
  • As an Influencer – Advising you how to put your brand equity toward making a meaningful difference

Give’r is a group of over 20 clients from across our network who are motivated by:

  • Personal connection and family involvement
  • Impact and effectiveness
  • Community and collaboration
  • Long term engagement and learning

Most participants are self-made and have an entrepreneurial spirit, excited to go “beyond the cheque” for causes they care about. Several have their own well-established foundations, family offices, or social impact charities.

Gathering on Fogo Island, 2022

Give’r members are individually invited to participate in special events and unique experiences related to our philanthropic work, curated just for them.

We host Give’r for four virtual gatherings annually, facilitated by Sue Matheson, Co-founder of High Impact Lab. At each session we’re joined by an expert special guest for a conversation about their lived experience on themes such as succession, legacy, and measuring impact.

The Give’r team also receives private invitations to virtual gatherings with sought-after speakers who are globally recognized leaders in their fields. Conversation topics are always related to our focus on place-based social impact in the areas of environment, health and wellness, and education.

There are also some fun, optional in-person dinners and lunches in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto.

Masters in the art of living draw no sharp distinction between work and play; labor and leisure; mind and body; education and recreation, but hardly know which is which. They simply pursue a vision of excellence through whatever they are doing, and leave others to determine whether it is working or playing. To themselves, they always appear to be doing both.”
