Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island

Funded since 000

There is no greater gift than our children. And nothing is more vital than their health. Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island has invested in the health of Island kids for more than 90 years. We’re here to harness the collective compassion of thousands of donors each year so that together, we can improve the lives of children and youth living with physical and mental health challenges, in every Island community.

Why We Fund Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island

In listening to the needs of our Island families, we learned there is a lack of local health care resources in many rural and remote north Island communities, so families must travel great distances to care for their children. These costs can be significant and safe places to stay are scarce. Q̓ʷalayu House will provide a safe, culturally sensitive, and welcoming home for pregnant women and families needing a place to stay in Campbell River, to access nearby health care services and the North Island Hospital next door.
